Security Update Instructions

1. We recommend ending your gaming session and closing Steam during the update, this will take no more than 5 minutes.
2. Make sure your account has an up-to-date email address and phone number.
   You can check this here.
   If you don't recognize your contact information — immediately contact support.
   
3. If the contact information is correct — update your Steam Guard mobile protection.
   This must be done even if the information above was up to date. This will reset all your sessions (including sessions that an attacker might have had access to).
4. After these steps, your account will be fully protected.
   Do not change your password for the next three days, as this may cause a review and blocking of your account, as we don't know who currently owns the account.
